Trump advisor Peter Navarro promotes his new book by trashing two of the former president's prominent hires

On Wednesday, former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro promoted his upcoming book, "In Trump Time," and used it to trash former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, who recently came out with a tell-all of her own about the Trump administration.

"I knew and liked Stephanie, all the way from the 2016 presidential campaign, up to her betrayal of the Trumps," said Navarro, who recently stirred controversy by calling top COVID-19 adviser Anthony Fauci "truly evil" and accusing him of "killing Americans." "But here's the broader point, and it is an important one for history as well as for future presidents: never hire a press secretary who lacks both the intellect and training to understand the nuances of your policies."

Navarro also took a swipe at former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, mocking Grisham for believing he was "actually competent."

Grisham, unfazed by the insult, was quick to fire back.
