Producer: There's video of Trump saying the N-word but it'll cost $5 million to get it

An award-winning TV producer said on Sunday that producers from Republican nominee Donald Trump's reality show The Apprentice are in possession of video that shows Trump using the racial slur "ni**er."

Jezebel's The Slot reported Sunday that producer Chris Nee said on Twitter that the video is sitting behind a legal wall. Apprentice personnel all face a $5 million legal penalty for leaking footage from the show as per their contracts.

Nee directed her tweets at billionaire Mark Cuban, who has been doggedly criticizing Trump throughout his campaign for president.

"The price is 5 million to cover the penalty fee," Nee wrote. "And we all get to hear him use the N word from what I hear."

BuzzFeed said on Sunday that Apprentice producer Mark Burnett -- who is a dedicated Trump backer -- has already warned staff that he will sue anyone who leaks video from the series.

BuzzFeed's Julia Reinstein wrote, "More than 20 former contestants, crew members, and editors told the Associated Press that Trump treated women on the show inappropriately, including talking about which contestants he would like to have sex with and rating them by breast size."

Questions began to swarm about the videos on Saturday night when Apprentice producer Bill Pruitt said on Twitter, "As a producer on seasons 1 & 2 of #theapprentice I assure you: when it comes to the #trumptapes there are far worse. #justthebegininng."

Nee said Sunday that she is not in possession of the tapes herself.

"I don't have the tapes. I've signed a Burnett contract & know leak fee is 5 mill. Hearing from producers/crew N word is the 'much worse,'" she tweeted.

UPDATE: Clinton backer and Media Matters founder David Brock told BuzzFeed in an email that he will pay for the Apprentice leakers' legal fees.

“If a $5 million ‘leak fee’ is what stands between truth and total Trump implosion, sign me up,” Brock said.
