Protecting Mueller is the only way to save US from the president 'acting like a mob boss': Dem lawmaker

US Representative David Cicilline (D-RI) appeared on CNN Tuesday to stress how important it is for Democrats to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

Pointing to the President's tweet commending Roger Stone for refusing to testify, Cicilline observed that the President seems intent on undermining the investigation.

"The walls are closing in," Cicilline said. He then noted that Trump's response has hardly been presidential, but more like the leader of a criminal enterprise stressing the loyalty of subordinates.

"A number of commentators have said this is behavior you expect of a mob boss, not the president of the United States," Cicilline said.
