Public braces for release of Mueller report while Trump ‘just wants it out and over with’: report

Special counsel Robert Mueller's redacted report is expected to be released next week, according to Attorney General Bill Barr.

The summary of his findings into Russian election interference and obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump's administration is expected to include damaging information about the commander-in-chief, Politico reported Saturday.

David Bossie, Trump's 2016 deputy campaign manager, tried to downplay the significance of the report, while revealing Trump's anxiety.

“This is a report where everybody already knows the outcome,” Bossie said. Trump, “wants it out. He just wants it out and over with.”

Trump allies outside the White House may be more worried than the aides within.

"Even as more than a dozen Trump aides and associates interviewed by POLITICO professed confidence that the report would inflict little new damage on a president they say has already been exonerated by Barr, some Trump allies say the White House is in for a rude awakening," Politico noted.
