Racist Fox fans seethe at news that Philando Castille's girlfriend got $800K police shooting settlement

Diamond Reynolds, who watched in horror when her boyfriend Philando Castile was fatally shot in front of her by a police officer in 2016, has received a settlement from two Minnesota cities for the trauma she endured, both for witnessing the shooting and for being wrongly arrested.

Reynolds, whose 4-year-old daughter was also present in the car at the time of Castile's shooting, will get $675,000 from the city of St. Anthony and $125,000 from the city of Roseville and the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust.

The 32-year-old Castile was shot seven times by Officer Jeronimo Yanez in 2016, despite the fact that Castile was cooperating with the officer's commands and despite the fact that he informed Yanez that he was carrying a gun on him so the officer wouldn’t be alarmed if he spotted it.

When Castile then reached for his wallet to present his identification, the officer opened fire on him, as Reynolds filmed the fatal encounter on her phone.

Fox News reported on Reynolds' settlement with the two Minnesota cities, and many of its Twitter followers immediately erupted in rage that she would get any compensation for seeing her law-abiding boyfriend get gunned down while her 4-year-old child was present.
