Right to Life sues to block Michigan's voter-approved abortion rights law

LANSING— Anti-abortion groups and three Republican state lawmakers are challenging the federal constitutionality of an abortion rights proposal passed by voters a year ago today. The filing in Michigan’s Western District federal court Wednesday comes a day after Ohio passed a similar “reproductive freedom” ballot initiative enshrining abortion rights in its state constitution.
