Right-wing Congressmen file articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein

Reps. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) filed articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

"The DOJ has continued to hide information from Congress and repeatedly obstructed oversight--even defying multiple Congressional subpoenas," tweeted Meadows. "We have had enough."

According to Politico reporter Rachael Bade, the men chose to file it as a "privileged resolution," so that they don't have to force a vote on the House floor for the impeachment.

"This avoids the GOP civil war that would take place if they DID try to force a vote on this. Rs VERY divided on the matter," she tweeted.

She later reported that Congress might file the privileged resolution if the Justice Department doesn't turn over the documents.
