Right-wing political commentator begs Trump to appoint him to the Supreme Court on Twitter

It's officially silly season for the Supreme Court, with all sorts of names being floated for the vacancy created by the retirement of Anthony Kennedy.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro is now begging President Trump to appoint him to the Supreme Court.

"I'm only 34. I could be on the Court for 60 years," he tweeted, prompting some of his fellow Millennial Republicans to start a hashtag in his honor.

Shapiro quit the staff at Breitbart because of its anti-Semitism.

He is known for his fierce opposition to abortion and insistence that providers and perhaps women be prosecuted for murder. He is a close ally of the Atlantic writer who was fired for arguing that the death penalty be used to punish abortion.

Shapiro would actually keep with Trump's strategy. The president has been picking extremely young federal judges so that he can hold sway over American affairs for the next 50 years.
