RIP John Dingell: Longest-serving member of Congress passed away on Thursday

Former Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) passed away on Thursday, The Detroit Newsreports.

Dingell served for over 59 years, making him the longest serving representative in United States history.

His wife, Rep. Debbie Dingell, succeeded her husband in representing Michigan's 12th congressional district.
