The co-hosts of "The View" attacked new Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after they said he got basic facts wrong during the Wednesday Cabinet meeting.
An outbreak in Texas claimed its first life this week, leading to questions about what the federal government is doing to help stop it.
Whoopi Goldberg relayed that RFK Jr. believed there was "no cause for alarm."
Kennedy called it an "epidemic" when it doesn't qualify for that definition under Britannica, and Kennedy alleged it wasn't "unusual" to have an outbreak like that.

Teasing the segment at the end of the first conversation about the Cabinet meeting, Goldberg trashed the officials and the indiscriminate firings of experts across government.
"I don't like the fact that when RFK was asked about the measles, he made — it was a very sort of blasé response. But it's not blasé to the person who lost their child."
She feared that there would be more outbreaks of curable diseases as a result of vaccine skepticism.
Returning from the commercial break, Goldberg continued her complaints about President Donald Trump's administration's handling of the outbreak.
"Actually, it is unusual because it was eradicated!" exclaimed Goldberg. "You are not giving out the proper information. This is your job, dude. People are going to die if they believe what they're saying and they don't check. Now, I'm very worried about this reaction because I feel like" Kennedy made it seem like "it's no big deal."
"It is a big deal and it is a big deal for mothers, expectant mothers, mothers who don't even know what's — that they're pregnant. you have no idea," Goldberg continued. "And to flippantly put it off and say, you know, this is -- it happens all the time, it doesn't so what you gonna do about it, RFK? What you gonna do?"
Sara Haines pointed to the cuts and funding freezes, noting, "The FDA just canceled a meeting about the flu vaccine for next year and usually needs a six-month run to decide to have manufacturing time to release that. So, as we're rolling these back, it is scary because Bill Gates sat right here and said there is a good chance we'll go through another pandemic in the next 25 years with a 10% chance in the next 4 years."
Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed, citing all the facts Kennedy misrepresented in his comments. She said she shares the fear of a future public health crisis, and "this is the man overseeing it."
I would be listening to this man if he had one iota of medical experience," Goldberg added. "He fired everybody. Where are the scientists? You fired all the damn scientists!"
