Robert Mueller files request for 75 new blank subpoenas to use in Manafort trial

Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Tuesday filed a request in federal District Court for 75 sets of blank subpoenas in the case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

The request filed in the Eastern District of Virginia, requests 150 blank subpoenas -- or 75 sets -- for the prosecution and defense. Two subpoenas are required for each witness.

Manafort's trial is scheduled to begin July 25.
