'Rocket Man is on a suicide mission': Trump threatens North Korea with total destruction at UN

President Donald Trump encouraged nations to "embrace their sovereignty" in his first official address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

"I will always put America first, just as you should put your countries first," he said.

Trump also criticized the human rights record of North Korea and threatened the rogue nation with total destruction if they continued to threaten the United States and its allies with nuclear weapons.

"Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime," he said. "The United States is ready, willing and able -- but hopefully this will not be necessary."
