'Should be fun': Oath Keeper offered security detail to Roger Stone during Capitol riot

Roger Stone's name keeps popping up in court filings against suspects in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The Republican dirty trickster and longtime associate of Donald Trump showed up twice in court documents filed Thursday against a pair of Oath Keepers, a right-wing paramilitary group that prosecutors believe helped coordinate the violent attempt to overturn the election results, reported CNN.

"Will be in DC Tuesday and Wednesday," said Oath Keepers member Donovan Crowl in a text message. "Part of Roger Stone's Oathkeeper security detail. Should be fun."

Another filing includes a photo of two Oath Keepers accused of conspiracy -- Connie Meggs and Graydon Young -- standing next to Stone at a book promotion event inside a replica of the Oval Office.

Stone, who was pardoned by Trump on Dec. 23 for his convictions related to Russian election interference, has denied knowing of any plans to storm the Capitol, but he hasn't commented yet on either new court filing.

A video released last month shows Stone flanked by Oath Keepers outside a Washington, D.C., hotel hours ahead of the insurrection.
