'This way he doesn’t have to interact with people': Trump campaign mocks DeSantis for Twitter launch

In the wake of news reports confirming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' plans to enter the 2024 race for the White House, Donald Trump's team is ramping up the attacks, Politico reported.

According to reports, DeSantis is expected to announce his campaign launch this Wednesday on Twitter. Speaking to Politico, a Trump adviser mocked the Florida's governor's choice.

“Announcing on Twitter is perfect for Ron DeSantis,” a Trump adviser told Politico. “This way he doesn’t have to interact with people and the media can’t ask him any questions.”

DeSantis has recently been the subject of criticism from detractors who've said recent videos of him interacting with the public show awkwardness and a lack of skill when it comes to talking to people.
