Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) lashed out at "far left zealots" after he was named in a report about prescription drugs supplied to members of the Trump administration while he served as a White House physician.
"Rolling Stone is nothing but a liberal rag used as a propaganda tool for the far left zealots," Jackson wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "They never get tired of lying! They just published another garbage hit piece directed at the Trump administration and based on 'anonymous' sources. Pathetic!! Stop lying and name your sources! MORONS!!"
Rolling Stone's report relies on anonymous sources and a Defense Department report, accessed by the magazine, who say pills were handed out "without a specific need or diagnosis." They were unable to receive comment from Jackson before going to print.
One former official told Rolling Stone that the White House was “awash in speed.” A former senior administration added, “You try working for him and not chasing pills with alcohol."

"Nearly every source interviewed for this story traced the problems with the White House Medical Unit back to Jackson," the magazine added.
"Any practices existing at that time were all set up by Jackson, who'd been there for a dozen years. Though the med unit was led by an administrator, little happened without his say-so," one source told Rolling Stone.
As White House physician, Jackson praised Trump's physical health.
“He has incredibly good genes, and it’s just the way God made him,” Jackson said at one briefing. “I told the President that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years he might live to be 200 years old.".
Jackson later made a successful bid for Congress. He was endorsed by Trump.
