'Rope. Tree. Journalist': Trump supporter's T-shirt calls for lynchings of reporters

A Trump supporter at a rally in Minnesota on Sunday proudly sported a T-shirt calling for the lynching of journalists.

"Rope. Tree. Journalist," the shirt said. "Some assembly required."

Trump has made animus toward the media a centerpiece of his campaign and his followers have been eager to take up the cause. Recently, he singled out NBC's Katy Tur for criticism at a rally and the reporter found herself at the center of a terrifyingly hateful, angry mob.

In the past, she has needed Secret Service protection in order to leave the venue when Trump has called her out by name at rallies.
