A Roy Moore supporter has told the Huffington Post that he has no qualms about supporting the Alabama Republican Senate candidate on the grounds that he has also been called out by several women for sexual misconduct.
When asked by the Huffington Post whether he felt comfortable supporting a Senate candidate who has been accused by multiple women of molesting them when they were teenagers, National Black Chamber of Commerce CEO Harry Alford said that he was -- because lots of women have thrown around allegations against him over the years.
"A lot of women have come forward and accused me of doing things!" he told the publication. "Half of them are true!"
Even as Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) announced his resignation this week, and as multiple Democratic Senators called on Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) to step down, the Republican Party has moved closer and closer to Roy Moore. President Donald Trump gave him a full-throated endorsement earlier in the week, while the Republican National Committee once again starting sending money to the Alabama Republican Party to help out Moore's campaign.
