Minnesota MAGA candidate lashes out after mockery for support of Ten Commandments law

Minnesota Republican Senate candidate Royce White got in yet another juvenile social media battle on Friday evening, after being mocked for his support of the controversial new Louisiana legislation requiring the Ten Commandments be posted in all state-funded classrooms.

White, a former basketball star and mixed martial artist, has picked several similar arguments online, including one where he outright challenged one critic to a fight, and another in which he mocked a critic's use of pronouns in his social media bio.

"I know why they're really so angry. It's not about the 10 commandments, it's about the invaluable quality of faith," White posted on X. "The goal of identity politics is to confuse. Once confused, they can strip your identity completely and give you whatever new identity they want. Jesus Is King!"

The account @realben_jammin replied by saying, "You live in fairy tale land," and posting a video of White with circus music and clown images, above the hashtag #PayYourChildSupportNotStrippers — a reference to recent reporting that White is behind on child support and using campaign money at a strip club in Florida.

"Pete Buttigieg supporter," replied White.

"Yep. I also love and support my kids, you big dumb b-----," the man hit back, to which White said, "Groomer."

Asked by reporters about his child support issues in the past, White has responded with hostility, saying, "A lot of people have child support. A lot of people have alimony. A lot of people have back child support. All you liberals really just want to shame people with kids, because you’re anti-human as f---. That’s it. I love my children. And I’m current on my child support. I pay more child support than probably many people in this country over the course of their lives. It’s really a nothing issue.”

The Louisiana Ten Commandments bill, which is explicitly set up to challenge enforcement of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause and open the door for laws promoting Christian nationalism, is already facing legal action from civil liberties groups such as the ACLU.
