Rush Limbaugh schooled live on air from one of his own listeners after attacking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Far-right radio commentator Rush Limbaugh got nailed by one of his own listeners on Tuesday afternoon during his show when he attacked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Ocasio-Cortez spoke out about her experience in the Jan. 6 attack saying that she was fearful of her life. In particular, she said that she was scared that Republican members of Congress would alert insurrectionists as to where she was. She and other colleagues in the so-called "Squad" have experienced multiple threats of violence and death threats since taking office.

Attacking the congresswoman and claiming she's politicizing her experience by merely talking about it, Limbaugh turned to the phones.

"Yeah. It really hurts me to think I agree with her, but let me just say that, Rush, you probably never have been — experienced trauma or abuse. And I certainly didn't —" the caller said.

"Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Why do you think that?" Limbaugh said.

"I'll tell you why. Because as you're describing what AOC said, what she's talking about is, if you've experienced a trauma or an abuse and then you experience another trauma or another abuse, that trauma piles on it — it —" the caller said.

"Yeah?" Rush asked.

" It doesn't go away," the caller continued.

"Yeah?"

"And so she had this trauma on the 6th, and it sort of gins up past traumas," she explained.

"So you think I went over and off the rails because I was, what, making light of it?" asked Limbaugh.

"I think that any woman, any person who's ever been sexually abused or been through trauma is gonna find that insensitive and —" she continued.

"All right. I appreciate it. I'm out of time. But I appreciate that. I'll have to think about this," Limbaugh closed.

Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) called her husband the day before to tell him where her will was located. She sat in her office with a baseball bat while the door was barricaded. It's a story that many others on both sides experienced.
