Fox News host and Donald Trump supporter Sean Hannity provided the private jet Newt Gingrich used to go to a meeting with the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, CNN reported.
CNN cited two anonymous sources "with knowledge of the situation." Gingrich, a former House Speaker, met with Trump in Indianapolis on Wednesday.
The meeting took place just a day after the conservative network suspended ties with Gingrich because of "intense media speculation" over the prospect that the former reality TV host would choose him as his running mate. Gingrich said in an interview with Fox on Tuesday that he expected Trump would make his announcement by the weekend.
For his part, Hannity -- who admitted earlier this year that he was "guilty" of unabashedly backing Republicans -- said he "wouldn't be happy with anyone but Newt" on his show on Tuesday night.
"I'm not a journalist, I'm a talk show host," Hannity has said to defend himself against accusations of bias.
