'End of your career': Dem senator slammed over reported break with Biden

Social media critics ripped into a Virginia Democratic senator on Friday following reports he is trying to gather a group of colleagues to ask President Joe Biden to end his campaign.

Sen. Mark Warner, chair of the powerful Senate Intelligence Committee, has told fellow Democratic senators that Biden can't remain atop the ticket following his disastrous debate performance last week, The Washington Post reported, citing two people with direct knowledge of the effort.

Warner reportedly feels deeply concerned that Biden can't put together a campaign that can defeat former President Donald Trump.

“Like many other people in Washington and across the country, Senator Warner believes these are critical days for the president’s campaign, and he has made that clear to the White House," Rachel Cohen, spokeswoman for the senator, told the Post in a statement.

She would neither confirm nor deny the report.

@kaku_kasumi wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "@MarkWarner Explain or this is the end of your career."

Another X user questioned why she should trust someone who can't be trusted not to massacre a classic American dish.

"Mark Warner doesn’t know how to make a proper tuna sandwich so he can kiss my a-- on how to choose a president," wrote @PettyLupone, attaching a video of Warner microwaving his tuna sandwich.

She then added: "If he’s leading this 'charge' he’s a fool and he better hope he doesn’t get primaried next time."
