Seth Meyers hilariously blasts 'cartoonishly corrupt' Jared Kushner as 'the ghost of a boy Trump killed' with a golf ball

In his Thursday "Closer Look" segment, late-night host Seth Meyers hammered President Donald Trump and the Republican Party for constant fear-mongering on guns. Yet, during a discussion with legislators and White House officials Wednesday, Trump said he was ready to take people's guns away and deal with due process later.

"I like taking the guns early," Trump told the table. His rational was because the legal system takes so long.

Meyers showed a series of clips from leading Republicans "spinning unhinged fantasies" that former President Barack Obama of beings steps from taking Americans' guns away.

"What were his bedtime stories like?" Meyers asked before slipping into his Trump impression. "There are monsters under your bed and he wants to eat you. But, don't worry, it won't happen. Except for you, Eric, he might eat you.' I'm just kidding, in that Trump never told his kids bedtime stories."

After playing a clip of Trump's remarks during the discussion, Meyers noted "Republicans got their dream president and he just blurting out their worst nightmare."

Oddly enough, however, the NRA remained calm, saying they still trust the president will be better on guns than former President Barack Obama was.

"We're like a week away from Trump driving up to the White House in a Prius blasting the Hamilton soundtrack and wearing a t-shirt that says #Resist," Meyers joked.

Meanwhile, Kushner is embroiled in scandal and Trump is starting to fume, according to The New York Times.

"You know that thing when a friend asks you for money because he's in a jam, and you decide, hey, he's your friend, you'll help him out," Meyers described. "So, you say, 'How much do you need?' And he says, 'Half a billion dollars.' And then you say, 'What the f*ck did you do?!' That's Jared Kushner. That is cartoonishly corrupt."

Meyers went on to ask how much more suspicious Kushner could get.

"He took millions in loans from companies he met with in the White House," Meyers began. "Tried to set up a secret channel to Russia. Can't get a security clearance to complete a background check. And lurks ominously in the background of every White House photo like he's the ghost of a boy Trump killed with an arrant T-shot."
