Fox News' Shep Smith deadpans as he reports on Trump’s Space Force: We are sad to report there will be no Wookiees

Fox News host Shepard Smith is sad to report that Donald Trump's proposed Space Force will not include anything from the Star Wars franchise.

"There will be no Millennium Falcon, no Jedis or Wookiees we are sad to report," the Fox News host said. "But if the White House gets its way, in this special case, there will be a Space Force."

“A sixth branch of the United States military to support America’s objectives in orbit.”

Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday announced plans for the creation of a Space Force, saying the Trump administration planned for it to be established by 2020.

"As President Trump has said, in his words, it is not enough to merely have an American presence in space — we must have American dominance in space. And so we will," Pence said. "Space is, in his words, a war-fighting domain just like land and air and sea."
