The latest shooting and killing of an American citizen by federal immigration authorities was backed up by an "incorrect" statement, according to an expert.
Security analyst Rob D'Amico, a former Marine and FBI agent, appeared on MS NOW on Saturday, where he flagged the "biggest thing" about new videos of the killing of an ICU nurse named Alex Pretti.
D'Amico said he is now fearing for his own life.
"What kind ofscares me is I carry concealedall the time, retired FBI. If I happen to be there, I'm inthe same situation. I'm armed.I'm trying to help someone. Andthen all of a sudden you get ina scuffle and your weapon isthere. But at no time. And fromthe first video, when he's onall fours, when the subject'son all fours, I didn't see agun in his hands either. Whichmeant at that point he stillhadn't gone for the gun," he said.
He went on to specifically note how the false information causes harm.
"Sothe biggest thing is thestatement is incorrect thatthey released. And that's whatwe saw on the last one, whichis we talked about earlier. Ifyou can't believe thestatements that are being putout, it is just very troubling. And that's why you don'trelease statements until youhave a somewhat investigation," he then added. "You have people go through it,but they're just quick to comeout and say something to thenarrative to get people on thedefensive that he came at themwith a weapon. This video, eventhough it cuts off at the end, shows that that's not, in fact, what happened. And it'stroubling. It is troublingbeyond belief."
