“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli on Friday was found guilty on three counts of securities fraud after he orchestrated an $11 billion ponzi scheme.
Shkreli became the face of corporate greed after his company, Turing Pharmaceuticals raised the price of a life-saving AIDs drug by 5000 percent. That fact caused real problems for Shkreli throughout the trial—according to a dispatch from the jury selection in his case, prospective jurors felt unable to overlook his “punchable” appearance.
“I looked right at him, and in my head I said, 'that's a snake,' not knowing who he is,” one juror said in court.
