Son of former DEA chief and current Arkansas GOP governor gets busted for ecstasy pills

The son and namesake of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, who is the former head of the Drug Enforcement Administration, was caught Saturday trying to enter a music festival carrying drugs, AL.com reports.

Asa Hutchison, III, was stopped by authorities while trying to enter the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores on Saturday. He was seen by Baldwin County Sheriff's deputies trying to hide something in his waistband. When questioned, he handed over a flask of alcohol.

But when deputies searched Hutchinson, they found a baggie containing two capsules and four tablets of ecstasy, or MDMA.

Hutchison was taken to jail where he stayed until Monday, at which time he posted his $5,000 bond.

It wasn't Hutchison's first time being caught under the influence of a mind-altering substance. He has been arrested three times for driving under the influence -- at least two of which were alcohol-related, according to the Arkansas Times.
