Stephen Miller's rant on Fox News quickly backfires

Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller erupted on Fox News Wednesday.

In conversation with anchor Will Cain, Miller accused Democrats of obstructing Trump administration policies on immigration, border security, and ideology.

"Everything he's done to try to dismantle that ideology, the left is taking him to court. Every beautiful thing he wants to build, they want to block. Every mile of the border he wants to secure, they want to stop. Every illegal alien he wants to deport, they want to keep here," Miller said.

The comments sparked immediate backlash on social media, with critics noting the irony given President Donald Trump's own history of sexual misconduct allegations and the GOP's protection of accused abusers, The 19th reported.

Mehdi Hasan, former MS NOW commentator and founder of Zeteo News, wrote, "Putrid and hateful guy who works for an adjudicated sexual abuser has views."

Democratic strategist Leslie Marshall pointed out, "Republicans won't investigate or prosecute anyone in the Epstein Files. Ken Paxton let a pedophile off the hook with a slap on the wrist, and he doesn't even have to register as a sex offender in Dallas, and Max Miller's still in office."
