Stephen Miller throws people under the bus 'all the time' to win Trump's 'Game of Thrones': Omarosa

On Saturday, MSNBC's Alex Witt talked to former White House communications official Omarosa Manigault Newman about the grip that Stephen Miller has over President Donald Trump's policies.

"From your time inside the White House, looking at Stephen Miller, how much influence do you think he really has?" asked Witt.

"Stephen has a significant amount of influence, and he has the president's ear," said Omarosa. "It was interesting sitting in those senior staff meetings with him because he was always quiet. He would take in what everybody was saying, and then when he would go and meet with the president, he would leverage that to advance his own agenda. He's clever and he has the influence to to get the different policies he wants across."

"Are you saying that he would throw others under the bus?" Witt pressed her.

"Oh, all the time," laughed Omarosa. "He's so strategic that he's learned to play each side to the middle, and he has gained the trust and the ear of the president, and that's all that matters in this Game of Thrones that is the Trump administration."

"Do you think this is the beginning for him?" Witt asked. " In other words, do you think we can see further resistance from Stephen Miller, whether it's focusing on DHS or or facets of the administration."

"Stephen Miller has made it very clear from the very beginning about his bullet points for what he wanted with immigration," said Omarosa. "And one after the other, we've seen him effectively get those things across, from separating parents at the border, that's all Stephen Miller, to the idea of moving these folks that come across the border to sanctuary cities, that's Stephen Miller. Every single time he's been able to get his way, and I don't doubt that whatever he wants to advance, whether that's shaking up DHS or any of these other policies, that he'll get it done."
