The Herman Cain sexual harassment scandal has reached what Daily Show host Jon Stewart calls Stage Four: The Press Conference trying to undo the damage done by how badly we handled stages One through Three. Stage One being "I have no idea what you're talking about", Stage Two, later that same day, "Oh, that thing!" and Stage Three which is to go around refusing to talk about the thing that you haven't been talking about.
Along the way, Stewart touches on Cain's propensity to talk about himself in the third person, his invocation of the "Democrat Machine" (a solar powered device that turns hope into disappointment), and the reason why Cain's wife may not be his most sterling character reference.
