Trump may use tariff court loss to dodge fallout and blame judges

Donald Trump is urging the Supreme Court to uphold his power to impose tariffs without Congress, even after two lower courts ruled he overstepped his authority. But one analyst suggested Trump might actually welcome a loss, since it would let him claim he “fought for tariffs” while shifting blame to “elitist judges” — avoiding political fallout from the economic consequences his trade scheme could bring.
