Trump loses another 2 lawyers as quitting attorney takes colleagues with him: report

Donald Trump has lost three lawyers in just one day as Joseph Tacopina's withdrawal from representing him meant another two attorneys from his firm also dropped out of the former president's defense, Newsweek reported.

Tacopina, a key lawyer who was representing Trump in his New York hush money case and the appeal of last year's ruling in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, withdrew his firm's services Monday, just two months before the criminal case was set to begin.

Withdrawing his firm's services would include fellow lawyers Chad Seigel and Matthew DeOreo.

"I respectfully submit this Declaration in support of [Tacopina Seigel and DeOreo's] motion, made pursuant to Local Civil Rule 27.1, to withdraw as counsel (including TSD attorneys Joseph Tacopina, Chad D. Seigel and Matthew G. DeOreo) for Trump, with such other and further relief as the Court deems just and proper," Tacopina wrote in a court filing.
