Taiwanese animator creates WikiLeaks 'Cablegate' video

It seems that no major news disappears from the headlines before Taiwan's Next Media Animation (NMA) weighs in with a comical CGI depiction.

WikiLeaks release of secret US diplomatic cables has become the latest news item to get the same treatment as Tiger Woods, Steve Jobs, Al Gore and Christine O'Donnell.

The animation, posted on YouTube, begins with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange breaking in to steal secrets a diplomat had locked away in his desk drawer.

In the next scene, Assange fights off the attacks of "Uncle Sam" as he tries to sell papers reporting on the leaks.

NMA then offers their interpretations of the cables that have been disclosed so far.

For example, on the orders of Hillary Clinton, US diplomats were told to spy on UN officials and even collect their biometric data. In the animation, Uncle Sam is seen collecting feces from the UN building.

NMA touches on other embarrassing stories driven by the leaks. Diplomats described Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as "Hitler." French President Nicolas Sarkozy was called an "emperor with no clothes."

Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi is seen dancing with his "voluptuous blonde" nurse while a bare-chested Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is depicted as "Batman."

As the video ends, US officials atone by writing over and over on a chalkboard "I will not spy on other diplomats."
