Ex-Trump aide hits MAGA for attacking Taylor Swift while backing a sexual abuser

Former White House aide and co-host of "The View" Alyssa Farah Griffin knocked conservatives who are up in arms about Taylor Swift.

The pop star has built a huge following with her emotionally open songs and dedication to fans. But after a video of her was released in which she says she can't vote for Donald Trump, the right has looked for ways to attack her.

Among the complaints are false claims that Swift is plotting to win the 2024 election for Biden using the Super Bowl. At the same time, a number of nude photos generated by artificial intelligence were posted of Swift.

Others claim that Swift and her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend, Travis Kelce, are agents of "shadow forces." Fox guests have claimed she's a covert agent. The Pentagon responded to the accusations with mockery.

And dramatic MAGA Christians have also started asking if she's a good role model for young girls.

That's where Griffin drew the line.

'I felt guilty and sad; it's been a long time since there's been a Republican that little girls can look up to," said Griffin. "Little girls are watching and we're about to nominate someone who's been credibly held liable for sexual assault. Like this is not — look up to Taylor Swift and women in public life. We'll have to explain to our kids."

Trump was hit with more than $83 million in damages in the E. Jean Carroll trial in which he was found to have defamed her by denying that he sexually assaulted her. A previous civil trial found him liable of sexual abuse.
