Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) escalated his feud with political commentator Tucker Carlson for comments Carlson made during a recent podcast episode.
Carlson suggested during a recent podcast episode that Hamas seems to be a "political organization" and not a terrorist organization. He also said he wanted to apologize to Osama Bin Laden's family for the way he was treated by the U.S. government.
Cruz responded to these comments on a new episode of his podcast, "Verdict with Ted Cruz."
"Give a listen to what he said about Hamas because this is utterly bizarre," Cruz said. "This is where Tucker has gone full-on woke leftist, and don't take my word for it. Listen to Tucker."
"This bizarre apology and defense of Osama bin Laden and Hamas, and the president of Iran," he added. "There is something unhinged and I hope people around Tucker go in and say, 'Come on, man. Come on. Let's all say we love America and we're not going to lie to the American people.'"
Cruz and Carlson have clashed multiple times in recent months over the war between Israel and Hamas. Carlson apologized to Cruz on a recent episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored" for his heated rhetoric in some of the clashes.
"I apologize to him and everyone else I've snapped at or been mean to," Carlson said. "Even poor Ted Cruz, who, you know, I don't think is the most evil, and he's just controlled by a foreign power. I feel sorry for him."
