A woman in Brookshire, Texas on Wednesday was indicted on six counts, including transportation of explosives with the intent to kill and injure, after allegedly sending explosives to former President Barack Obama and two other government leaders, KHOU reports.
Federal investigators say on Oct. 12, 2016, 46-year-old Julia Poff mailed explosives to Obama, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Social Security Administration Commissioner Carolyn Colvin.
According to KHOU, Abbott opened the package, but not “correctly.” Had he, prosecutors say, "it could've caused severe burns and death.”
