‘They aren’t even worth remembering’: Anderson Cooper refuses to read names of white supremacists on air

On Friday, CNN's Anderson Cooper railed against President Donald Trump after he defended his comments made after the Charlottesville, Virginia riots.

Trump said that his claim that there were "very fine people on both sides" was a "perfect" response.

While Cooper was talking about the rally led by white supremacists, he said they were not even worth naming.

"They carried torches, then chanted Jews will not replace us," Cooper said. "That was one slogan. How many fine people arrived with combat boots and clubs and picked up torches and chanted Nazi slogans? How many fine people who you know would do that?"

He ripped Trump's claim that he was referring to "fine" people who were fighting for the confederate statute of Robert E. Lee.

"But the truth is this was never planned to be a civil war statue appreciation weekend," Cooper said. "It was as the poster clearly states, a unite the right rally. The names on that poster, by the way, are a prominent white nationalists. I’m not even going to say their names.They're not worth remembering. Not very fine people."
