Three people -- including the shooting suspect -- have been fatally shot during an attack on the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan.
According to local station WZZM 13, an unidentified suspect started firing shots at the courthouse at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Police said the situation was under control by 3 p.m.
An unnamed court employee tells the station that two bailiffs died during the shootings, along with the shooting suspect.
In addition to the three victims who were fatally shot, a police officer was also shot in the left arm and finger and was taken to a nearby hospital.
According to ABC News 57 reporter Brian Dorman, the shooter in this case was initially in police custody and being escorted to jail, when he grabbed a deputy's gun and started firing it.
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder announced that the Michigan State Police are investigating the shooting at the moment.
