'A toddler having a tantrum': California Democrat unleashes a tirade on Trump's 'terrorism'

Freshman Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) unleashed a tirade about the "irrational" President Donald Trump on MSNBC Thursday, trashing his decision to force a government shutdown as the acts of "a toddler."

Host Ali Velshi noted that the president again threatened to cut off FEMA assistance for California's forest fires, saying "this is really real to your constituents."

"We have national forest workers who are not working right now, who are furloughed, who live in my district," Hill replied. "When you talk about declaring an emergency, a federal emergency? We're from a state where we know all about emergencies and what should be a national emergency, and this is simply not one of them when you're talking about pretend facts."

"You can say it's a true humanitarian crisis for the people trying to come here but it certainly is not a national emergency," she added, addressing Trump's argument for a border wall. "It gets more and more frustrating every single day to see how irrational he is."

But she was just getting rolling.

"This is like a toddler who's having a tantrum. You can't give in," Hill continued, as she addressed the plight of the many federal workers in her district. "I know it's a strong word but to me, this is political terrorism."
