Tomi Lahren speaks out about water attack: 'I'm a real person and these things embarrass and humiliate me'

Tomi Lahren had water thrown at her by foes while having brunch with her parents. Lahren said that she wouldn't have said or done anything about it but the woman who threw the water made it public.

Host Sean Hannity lamented about the poor young woman so ruthlessly attacked by someone so violent.

"This is over the top and beyond the pale," Hannity said.

Even Kathy Griffin came to Lahren's aide, noting that violence is never the answer. While Having water thrown in your general direction is hardly a pie in the face or even a punch in the face as Richard Spencer suffered, Lahren said that the woman who did it clearly wanted to get internet famous.

Lahren, who rose to Fox News fame from her own internet audience, said that the incident was "humiliating."

"I think people forget I'm a real person and these things embarrass and humiliate me, and for my family, I didn't want them to be part of this," she said. "It's something I have grown used to. Not something I wanted to subject them to. I have a following made up in large part by young girls. I hope they'll look at this, especially conservative girls and realize if I can handle this with grace, they can to."

Hannity told her that there is no reason that she should ever be humiliated by a "coward, spineless jackass" that did this to her.

"This isn't the first time something like this has happened. It's not the first time something physically happened to me," she lamented. "I usually ignore it. I would have ignored this too if the video wasn't leaked."

It's unclear if such humility will help Lahren be empathetic to others with whom she similarly disagrees.
