Trump 2020 campaign ruthlessly mocked as a 'bunch of morons' for sending fake bricks to Pelosi and Schumer

The Trump campaign is fundraising by having supporters send fake bricks to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer -- and Twitter can't figure out what the strategy is.

"Since Chuck and Nancy keep stonewalling the President," Brad Parscale, Trump's 2020 campaign manager, tweeted Friday, "we’ll send the wall to them, brick by brick, until they agree to secure the border!"

The Daily Beast's Gideon Resnick noted that the phony bricks have a number and a call to action about Fentanyl on them -- which makes the tactic all the more confusing.

"Confused by the strategy here: is the goal for Pelosi and Schumer to send the texts?" Resnick tweeted.

CNN White House reporter Jeremy Diamond, however, had a darker outlook.

"The overtones of this are not pretty," he wrote. "And Trump has said he’s now aiming for a steel barrier."
