'I saw them do this': Pence aide answers what concerns her most about second Trump admin

Donald Trump's second attempt at the White House is terrifying because of who the former president might install into power, former Homeland Security Adviser to Mike Pence, Olivia Troye, said Saturday.

Troye appeared on MSNBC, where she was asked what is "concerning" her most about the potential for a second Trump presidency.

"Honestly," Troye, said, "just think about who he will place in his cabinet."

"And the one thing that Trump has learned from his first term is that he will place people there -- he doesn't need Senate confirmed people, you just keep rotating them in their roles, which is extremely dangerous," she said. "You're going to see people like Kash Patel, Mike Flynn, -- you will see Steve Bannon out there."

Troye added, "Who knows what you will get that will be at the heads of our -- defense community, and across the government. That is incredibly dangerous, and I also worry for the federal workforce."

She further drew attention to Project 2025, a right-wing vision Heritage Foundation has built for reshaping the federal government.

"When there is a federal worker that has complaints -- the traditional process for a whistleblower is to go to the inspector general. I will tell you this, I saw them do this. They were specifically looking at those roles -- placing them with loyalists. So I think that across the federal government, there is a fear they will feel, where they have nowhere to turn to. That is authoritarianism."
