President Donald Trump hurled anger at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) on his Truth Social platform on Monday, after both of them went overseas to pitch their alternate visions for their world that stand in opposition to his own.
"Heading to D.C. Will give an Air Force One Press Conference, shortly," wrote Trump. "[Secretary of State] Marco [Rubio] was fantastic in Munich! AOC and Newscum were an embarrassment to our Nation."
"For one thing they shouldn’t be talking badly about the U.S.A., especially on 'foreign soil,'" wrote Trump. "They made fools of themselves, and always will! Crooked Hillary merely showed her anger and Trump Derangement. Really bad representatives of our now very successful Country!"
Both lawmakers were unafraid to clash with Trump, with Ocasio-Cortez speaking at the Munich Security Conference, and Newsom telling British energy officials that "Donald Trump is temporary. He'll be gone in three years," and the U.S. will resume its role in climate policy leadership when he is out.
This comes at the same time that Rubio is facing criticism for lending support to Viktor Orban, the authoritarian leader of Hungary, who is currently in a fight for his political life.
