A political analyst shared a stark warning for President Donald Trump during a segment on MS NOW on Sunday.
Chris Hayes, host of MS NOW's "All In with Chris Hayes," said during a segment on Sunday's broadcast of "Crooked on MS NOW" that Republicans seem to be aware that Trump's "lame duck-ness" is setting in. That means there could be many Republicans who start to distance themselves from the Trump brand during the midterms as they chart their path forward without him, Hayes added.
"I do think that once everyone understands there's afuture without him, I think itwill be easier to kick him tothe curb or to distance themselves fromhim," Hayes said. "And I think you'll seethat more and more. If I had toguess, I don't think he's goingto retain the kind of cult-likehold even over the Republican primary voter a yearfrom now. I could be wrong, buthe's just doing a terrible job."
"The other thing is, not only is he doing a terrible job, but he does not care," Hayes said. "I don't think he cares at all about his polling on his popularity. He certainly doesn't care aboutthe fate of the Republican Party. He cares about his ownfate."
