Medical experts recently told a reporter with The Daily Beast that they are becoming increasingly alarmed at President Donald Trump's accelerating deterioration.
Sarah Ewall-Rice, a reporter at the outlet, told Nico Hines, the Daily Beast's global editorial director, during a new episode of "The Daily Beast Podcast" that medical experts released a new statement expressing deep concerns about Trump's mental and physical health. They cited episodes such as Trump's threat to wipe out the Iranian civilization and his seemingly erratic behavior around the White House.
"They have not specifically examined him face-to-face, but this is a group of people who have decades of experience," Ewall-Rice explained to Hines. 'Some of them are psychiatrists. Many of them are professors at top medical schools, including Harvard. They are saying that the president must be removed from office because he is mentally unfit, and they have deep concerns about him having the nuclear codes and being so close to the nuclear button at this stage."
Trump's health has been a top concern for many voters throughout his second administration. Several photos have shown Trump's ankles swelling, his hands plastered with makeup to hide bruising, and the president sleeping during meetings at the White House.
Ewall-Rice said the doctors described Trump's state as one of "rapid deterioration."
