Trump ally Devin Nunes won't even release his secret anti-FBI memo to the Senate intel committee

House Republicans are now stonewalling the Senate Intelligence Committee, along with the FBI and Justice Department, and refusing to provide a copy of the memo GOP House Intelligence Committee members say implicates the DOJ in surveillance abuse in the Russia investigation.

As CNN reports, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) has not been provided a copy of the four-page memo drafted by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA), despite having asked for the document.

The Nunes Memo is the latest in a long list of conservative rallying cries forged around supposed evidence of alleged misconduct on behalf of former President Barack Obama’s Justice Department. Similar claims—including that the Obama administration improperly “unmasked” members of Donald Trump’s transition team, and the they refused to properly investigate the “Uranium One” scandal—were previously hyped by House conservatives (led by Nunes) to discredit the ongoing Russia investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump is the release of the memo, but thus far Nunes has refused to provide a copy to the DOJ, FBI or Senate.

Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) told CNN “none of the senators have access to it.”

Burr has taken on Nunes before regarding his activities on the Russia investigation. Last July, he threw cold on Nunes' ongoing charge of impropriety on the part of the Obama administration, telling CNN, "the unmasking thing was all created by Devin Nunes."
