Trump has begun losing House Republicans over his continued government shutdown for the wall

Some House Republicans broke ranks to vote with Democrats to reopen the Treasury Department without funds for a border wall -- and in doing so broke with President Donald Trump.

The Washington Post reported that the House of Representatives voted to reopen the government without wall funding and their numbers included eight Republicans.

According to Atlanta-based reporter Jamie Dupree, the eight Republicans who broke ranks were: Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX), Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI), Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), Rep. John Katko (R-NY), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR).

NBC News' Rebecca Shabad noted that Rep. Walden used to chair the National Republican Congressional Committee, the GOP's House campaign arm.
