Trump biographer Michael d'Antonio says calling Donald Trump a baby 'is not fair to babies'

A Monday evening panel discussion on Don Lemon's CNN show was fascinated with President Donald Trump's focus on "being a baby" and using "baby" as an insult.

Political analyst Chris Cillizza explained that everything Trump does is about winning or losing and the winner is the top, the alpha.

"You see him talking about how, well, we won, as it represented to Brett Kavanaugh getting confirmed," he continued. "Therefore, whether he mocked [Dr. Christine Blasey Ford], whether or not he was purposely making fun of her, none of that matters because they won."

Cillizza said that's how Trump views the world: "everything is a battle" and the fight requires people to prove their manliness.

Michael d'Antonio has actually written about this facet of the Trump personality, however. He chimed in to explain that this is who Trump has always been.

"What grown man has 'I'm not a baby,' in his head?" asked d'Antonio, rhetorically. "It's not fair to babies."

It prompted Lemon to burst into hysterics.

Urban Radio's April Ryan noted that it may be that the inflatable Trump baby balloon flying around might be getting under the president's skin.

He then played the clip of Trump talking about Gen. James Mattis during Sunday's "60 Minutes" interview.

"I know more about it than Gen. Mattis does," Trump proclaimed.

"Gen Mattis was a former ally commander to NATO, but the president knows more about NATO than Mattis, Michael?" Lemon asked.

"During the campaign, he said he knew more about war and peace than the generals," the biographer recalled. "He was questioning whether the NATO alliance had been in place to keep the peace and been a success. This is just absurdity, but he's the president of the United States and Lesley Stahl is not."
