Trump blasts Comey: I didn’t tell him to kill Flynn probe but it wouldn’t be wrong if I did

President Donald Trump said during a Friday press conference that former FBI director James Comey lied during his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Trump said he never told Comey to back off the investigation into his former national security advisor Mike Flynn.

"I didn't say that," Trump remarked. "I will tell you, I didn't say that. And there would be nothing wrong if I did say it, according to everybody that I have read today. But I did not say that."

The president also denied he asked Comey for a pledge of loyalty and said he would be "100 percent" willing to testify under oath.
