Trump may face 'serious sanctions' after reportedly breaching judge's gag order

The notorious counterpuncher may be getting a timeout.

Former Donald Trump reportedly ignored a gag order imposed by the New York judge in his fraud trial when he failed to take down a post disparaging a law clerk, and is expected to be held to the fire when he returns to court, according to a Daily Beast report.

"The New York Attorney General’s Office and the former president’s defense lawyers were told late Thursday that the issue will come up Friday morning in court, according to a source with knowledge of those discussions," the report states.

New York State Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron issued the partial gag order on Oct. 3 tamping down Trump and others from posting rhetoric about court officials.

Engoron already warned Trump’s lawyers that there would be serious sanctions if the gag order isn't followed.

"Consider this statement an order forbidding all parties from posting, emailing or speaking publicly about any members of my staff,” Engoron said when issuing the order. “Failure to abide by this … will result in serious sanctions.”

On his political website, Trump mirrored the same slander at the judge's clerk as he had done on Truth Social, asking “Why is Judge Engoron’s Principal Law Clerk, Allison R. Greenfield, palling around with Chuck Schumer?”

When Engoron learned Trump had posted on his Truth Social jabs at the law clerk the order came down for Trump to delete the post and impose a blanket stoppage.

It appears that the 45th president only obliged by deleting the Truth Social post.

But, according to the Daily Beast, Trump left alone an "identical post" on his website DonaldJTrump.com.

It appears that the screed was scrubbed from the site as of Thursday night.

A screengrab of the aforementioned website was captured by the liberal group MeidasTouch.com.

An editor's note was added to their original story to confirm that the insults were removed.

The page that hosted the rhetoric returned with a 404 error on display and the message, “The page you were looking for does not exist.”

A spokeswoman for the AG Letitia James' office as well as Trump’s lead attorney, Alina Habba, declined to provide the Daily Beast with a comment.
