Trump to unveil highly-anticipated new budget: report

President Donald Trump is poised to unveil his fiscal year 2026 budget and deliver it to Congress on Friday, according to a new Axios report.
The budget is set to offer a comprehensive look at how Trump plans to fund the government and which policies he'll prioritize.
Russ Vought, Trump's Office of Management and Budget head, is scheduled to meet with members of the House on Thursday, according to the report.

Likely to come will be massive cuts to Housing and Urban Development's affordable housing and homelessness assistance programs, as well as health research in Health and Human Services, which could see cuts of about $40 billion.
The administration will also likely cut funding for PBS and NPR, and permanently extend his signature 2017 tax cuts.
